GelSight Introduces Remote Assist
GelSight systems are used daily for challenging on-site inspections. From confined spaces to catwalks high above the shop floor, Remote Assist enables collaborative inspections between the operator and the engineer.
Built on the GelSight API, our new standalone application connects a remote expert to the operator taking scans on-site. As the operator makes contact with the inspection surface, an engineer at their desk can now observe a real-time view of what the sensor sees, allowing them to trigger a scan as long as they are on a common network.
The Result: Streamlined inspections and faster decision making. By removing the guesswork from every scan, Remote Assist gives teams the data they need to make the right call.
